Started in 2016 Cricket Is Our Love and Religion AKA CLR is a platform that aims to connect people from every background through the Cricket. As the name clearly suggests CLR is a common medium where any person irrespective of his caste, creed, age, sex and nationality who loves cricket can enjoy the great game with people who share the same enthusiasm as themselves.
A Journey to Remember
The journey began on 28th May, 2016 through a Facebook Public group with initially three founding members, Debtanu Mitra, Maitreya Neogi & Gourab Goswami with the intention to keep people engaged, informed and updated with everything happening in the cricket world. Gradually the group started getting responses and people from all over India and even outside India started becoming CLR members, and within 2 years CLR became a group of 10,000 ardent cricket fan followers, subsequently CLR Facebook page, Instagram and twitter handle was introduced. But the dream was to make CLR standout among other such groups on social media platform. To achieve this, the founding members started to introduce online events and contests to keep people more engaged and entertained like IPL Fantasy Contest, Quiz Contest, Prediction Contest, Debate Contest etc. and so far, the CLR event management team has been able to conduct more 60 online contests over the span of 5 years. Considering the responses and requests from the members the event management team decided to bring people outside the virtual world through offline events like, CLR Annual Meet, CLR Mega Screening, CLR IPL Fantasy Auction, CLR Stadium Meet etc.
